Succession planning is a two-sided coin: the what if and the lifetime exit strategy.

The what if side accounts for possible scenarios: What if something happens to the owner or key person? What does the business continuity plan look like? 

The lifetime exit strategy side is where we help develop a plan: A successful plan allows the business owner to effectively step away from their business; confident that it will continue to thrive, provide for their families and themselves, and leave an overall legacy.


Compensation planning is also a two-sided coin: the business owner's comp and the key talent comp.

The business owner's comp addresses questions such as: How do you efficiently take money out of the business; with the least amount of tax erosion and without unduly constraining the growth of the company?

The key talent comp addresses questions such as: How do we reward and retain key talent to help us realize our strategic vision?


Tax and benefit planning* can help insulate an owner from the effects of a tight labor market, while delivering quality benefits for the employees and providing tax deductions for the business owner.

Addressing this piece of the puzzle brings clarity to: Are we providing the most competitive benefits to stay relevant in the marketplace? Can we do more to minimize the impact of taxes on my business?

Who I Help

The majority of my clients are entrepreneurs with complex business planning concerns.

I welcome introductory conversations regardless of your situation as I have a network of specialists I can leverage.

We will start with a phone call or meeting at my office to gain a better understanding of each other. By the end of this introductory meeting, we'll decide if it makes sense to work together, and if so, what the expectations will look like.


How I am Compensated

Commissions - Product solutions such as insurance and annuities generate commissions paid to us by the company we place them with. While Northwestern Mutual has an exceptional reputation in this space, we are not “captive” to selling only their products, however, an outside broker cannot offer Northwestern Mutual as we have exclusive access to their products.

Advisory fees - For specific advisory programs, instead of charging commission-per-transaction, my team and I manage client's assets as fiduciaries for an annual percentage.

The bottom line: Our goal is to be a resource to you and your business and help inspire you to be the best version of yourself, financially speaking.
